Upon successful completion of this audit, the organization will receive a registration certificate that identifies the quality system as being in compliance with ISO 9001, 9002, and/or 9003. In addition, the accredited third-party registrar will perform periodic surveillance to assure that the quality system is being maintained. Many registrars also require a full re-audit after a specified time (typically three or four years).
